We purchased the Excel stair lift in June, 2004 from your company
and you installed it within two weeks. And
the installation, I might add, went perfectly.
We have a multi-story home. I am 79 years old and live on one floor
of the house while my daughter and her husband
live on another floor. Needless to say, due
to my age and my daughter's condition (she
has multiple sclerosis), the stairs between
our floors had become a significant challenge
to our everyday lives. Prior to installing
the stair lift, there were actually many days
when my daughter and I would not visit with
one another because it was simply too difficult,
and too dangerous, for either one of us to
even attempt to navigate the stairs without
some type of assistance.
The stair lift turned out to be a very economical method of providing
access to both floors of our home, as well
as a method of ensuring the safety of my daughter
and myself. It is comfortable, safe, quiet
and dependable. Since it folds up closely against
the wall, the stairs can still be easily navigated
by anyone walking up and down, And with he
ivory colored track (an option that we chose),
the chair and the track fit in perfectly with
the decor of our house. And, it is essentially
maintenance free.
Besides safely transporting my daughter and I up and down, we also
use the stair lift and the remote controls
that come with it to transport groceries, laundry
and even dinners between floors, eliminating
the need for multiple trips up and down the
stairs.
We have had the stair lift for two months now, and it has worked perfectly.
I can honestly say that it is one purchase
that has made a significant difference in the
quality of life in our home. Everyone now
has access to our whole house, and the stairs
have become a non-issue with the installation
of the stair lift.
