ThyssenKrupp Access offers two options in power for our stair lifts. An electric stair liftcan be plugged directly to household current, such as the Select A/C and Excel models. An electric stair lift is a convenient option for those who never want to worry about changing a battery. However if you live in an area where power outages are more prominent maybe an electric stair lift is not for you. We also offer battery operated systems (BOS) which have a rechargeable battery that will charge at the top or bottom of the staircase, when the stair lift is not in use. As with all batteries, a replacement is sometimes necessary, around every 18-24 months. Certain ThyssenKrupp Access dealers do have quite a rental market and may be happy to accommodate you with a used electric stair lift or BOS system.
