Volant Elevator Exceeds “Green” Standards
Grandview, Missouri
With the release of the first gearless technology home elevator earlier this year ThyssenKrupp Access has brought environmentally friendly innovation to the home elevator industry. The Volant, first released in February at the International Builders Show, has combined the concept of space conservation (it requires no separate machine room) with low energy consumption and uses no hydraulic fluids.
“The Volant uses 50% less energy than other elevator operating systems, making it far and away the most environmentally conscious home elevator on the market,” Jim Quinly, Residential Elevator Manager, ThyssenKrupp Access, said. “Builders looking to build green and smart can separate themselves from the pack by incorporating the latest green elevator technology into their homes.”
